A trade show booth that looks like our product

bigDAWGS’ booth at Collision Toronto in May 2019, from my first 3D concepts in 2018 to setting it up on the show floor.

Concepts

In 2018 I modelled a 10 by 10 corner booth in Cinema 4D, with a person in each render for scale, plus a top view, elevations and flat wall artwork, so we could judge its size before anything was printed. The renders below show that first direction, a recordable greeting card booth.

The idea we built

The booth we built followed a later concept that looks like a video card, our own product. The printed wall is the card, and a TV hung on it is the screen.

My role

I designed the concepts and the booth graphics, had them printed and set the booth up at Collision Toronto.

Result

The built booth: Sound, Video and NFC on the printed wall, and a Marketing Innovation Showcase wall with the screen and our client logos.

A nominee kit for the American Influencer Awards

A kit mailed to the 2022 American Influencer Awards nominees: a five part presentation box in a printed mailer sleeve, holding a video card that plays the invite and carries each nominee’s name.

My role

The client supplied the artwork. I produced the kit: the cutter files for the five part presentation box and the mailer sleeve, the personalized video card (data merge from a list, one and two line name versions, foil and varnish files), proofs, and shipping in four waves.

The box

Five printed parts, each with its own cutter file: a top lid, a bottom tray, a die cut inner structure, a cable holder and a pull up insert.

The card

A 6 by 6 inch video card with the logo in foil on the cover. Inside, the screen plays the invite next to the nominee’s letter and a QR code for their voting graphics.

A brand for a new HVAC service

Stratus is a new in-suite HVAC service for multi-residential developers. It needed a brand fast, separate from its parent company. Freelance with a partner who ran client communication. I designed the logo, the identity and the brand guidelines.

Directions

Four stylescapes. The CEO picked a lemon lime palette from them and asked for an emblem, and the S emblem won.

The mark

The client asked for airflow at either end of the S, the S inside the name, and more breathing room. They wanted the wordmark to stand apart from its typeface, so I made it heavier.

What I delivered

A logo suite (horizontal, vertical, icon, colour and mono), a 15 page brand guide, and a business card, letterhead, envelope, email signature, deck template and T-shirt.

Result

The logo is in use on stratuscomfort.com.
